AI4X Research Center begins official operations on August 1, 2026

The Advanced Research Center for Cross-Disciplinary AI (AI4X Research Center), a university-level research center of National Taipei University, will be officially operational from August 1, 2026. The center connects research strengths in law, business, public affairs, humanities and social sciences, sustainability, and information technology. Its governance structure and first-wave initiatives have been confirmed; some research, resource, and collaboration mechanisms will be launched in phases after the operational date. Founding director: Prof. Min-Yuh Day (Professor & Director, Graduate Institute of Information Management, NTPU). Mission

Center mission and first-wave initiatives published

The center's founding mission (cross-disciplinary research, shared resources, industry-academia collaboration, and responsible AI) and its first-wave initiatives are now published. Initial work includes cross-college research matchmaking, campus AI capacity mapping, research data and computing governance, seed research projects, faculty workshops, and a single window for external collaboration. Each item is labeled with its current status and expected timing.

Cross-domain collaboration and research needs survey

Ahead of the official launch, the center invites NTPU faculty and research teams to share their cross-domain collaboration interests and research needs. Responses will inform the first wave of research matchmaking and the design of seed project calls. Please email yyteng@mail.ntpu.edu.tw with your name, unit, collaboration type, and a brief summary of your needs; see the contact page for details.
